Guest guest
I didn't go back to drinking KT just to loose weight even though I really needed to do so.? I went back to help disolve my kidney stones, which it has done quite well, but a great side effect has been the effortless weight loss!?? I have lost 29 pounds since I started back on it in the fall.? I know it has helped because at Christmas time I got busy and didn't brew for a couple of weeks and the scale started creeping back up there.? Started it up again and dropped right back down.? I am now doing weight watchers along with KT and having better results than ever before!? I have another 40 to 50 pounds to go and I know this time I can do it!? Also think the KT helps to prevent me from craving things and keeps my mood positive about the whole thing.? I am not feeling deprived at all as I usually do when dieting.? Good luck!! Dorene KT weight loss? Hello! Is anybody out there using KT in order to lose weight? I've read a few articles here and there that it's great for doing this and since I desperately need to lose 50 pounds, would LOVE to find out how much, when and what else I should be doing to get the added benefit of weight loss from drinking KT. Thanks.
Guest guest
Bravo! How much KT do you drink a day? And what " blends " do you use? I have a couple different types brewing: one continuous wulong green tea, on continuous pu-er tea, and a few other misc. ones. What other liquids are you drinking too - knowing that you shouldn't drink only KT. Thanks for sharing! _____ From: kombucha tea [mailto:kombucha tea ] On Behalf Of equilady91@... Guest guest
I too would love to know how much KT I should drink a day. Also I only use regular black tea. Is there a web site or can anyone tell me what the differences in the different teas. Is it just taste or are there different uses or benefits in the different varieties? I too would like to try for weight loss so the amount would be great. Thanks - Kathy > > >
Guest guest
I'm sure opinions vary on the amounts.? I drink 8 to 14 ounces a day and it has helped. Dorene Re: KT weight loss? Guest guest
I drink 8 to 14 ounces a day. I usually use green tea to brew with but have also had very good luck with Arizona Sweet Tea when I am pressed for time!? I also drink Olong tea, green tea and a lot of plain water!?? In fact I had a day the first week of dieting that I forgot to drink enough and got very dehydrated and almost passed out so I really push the water now.? I really think?th KT?has helped me feel more satisfied with my dieting and removes the cravings completely!? My whole house (5 of us) is doing weight watchers right now and until this week I was the only one drinking Kombucha.? My room mate just started drinking it this week trying to ward off a bad cold and I can't wait to see if it accelerates her weight loss as well.? Good luck to everyone who is trying to loose weight too.? It is very exciting for me to see the almost instant results that I have seen this time!? Still a long way to go, but this time we all know we can do it! Dorene KT weight loss? Hello! Is anybody out there using KT in order to lose weight? Guest guest
What type of tea(s) you use are definitely personal preference. However, since the end result is typically a cider like beverage I've been looking and finding different teas that offer certain benefits. A good site (and where I've bought some of my " unique " teas) is the happyherbalist. The pu-er tea is good and I am just steeping some Roobios tea to try my first batch of KT with that. As far as weight loss goes.I've been drinking KT for awhile and haven't really noticed anything: however, I'm sure there are other things going on with my body too. So, I continue to drink it and I do hope that if I make sure I drink two tall glasses (which would probably wind up being about 16oz) a day that that will help with my cravings and unhealthy eating habits. I do love to hear about how it's helping folks on this regard.thank you! _____ From: kombucha tea [mailto:kombucha tea ] On Behalf Of Kathy Gorecki Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2009 8:20 PM kombucha tea Subject: Re: KT weight loss? Guest guest
All, Regarding KT weight loss- Should you drink KT before, with or after a meal for best weight loss measures? Or do you just drink it throughout the day? Thanks- Joan > > I drink 8 to 14 ounces a day. Guest guest
I found this information at http://www.thekombuchadiet.com/general-kombucha-articles/kombucha-and-weight-los\ s/ When kombucha is used mainly for weight loss, it is recommended that you have a 4 ounce glass before every meal. Kombucha helps the digestion process, which is another advantage if you want to loose weight, since a higher percentage of the food you eat will be processed, so you can eat less and still feel satisfied. It’s important to drink it on an empty stomach so that the ingredients contained in it can have maximum effect. German Dr. Gunther explains it best: “It is known in pharmacology that absorption of certain active substances (e.g., certain fungicides) into the bloodstream or lymphstream is reduced if taken before meals. The small amounts of antibiotic substances contained in Kombucha are rendered especially effective when the beverage is taken in the morning on an empty stomach whereas, for example, the organic acids stimulate a better functioning of the digestive processes when the beverage is taken after the more ample midday and evening meals.” From: jm_dottavio <jm_dottavio@...> Subject: Re: KT weight loss? kombucha tea Date: Thursday, February 5, 2009, 6:08 PM All, Regarding KT weight loss- Should you drink KT before, with or after a meal for best weight loss measures? Guest guest
It doesn't seem to really matter for me when I drink it.? I usually have my first 8 oz first thing in the morning and then another 4 to 8 oz anytime during the day.? I do find it is not a good idea for me to drink it right before bed as it gives me extra energy! Dorene KT weight loss? > > Hello! > > Is anybody out there using KT in order to lose weight? Guest guest
Thanks for responding, Dorene. I understand and will start drinking it more regularly! Guest guest
Additionally for weight loss, it is suggested that you drink a hot beverage (preferable oolong or puerh tea) with and immediately after your meal. Both have been shown effective with weight loss efforts when a cup is consumed with each meal. When I once asked a Chinese Pu-Erh drinker to what he would attribute the weight loss properties of oolong and Pu Erh, he commented that it may not only be the tea, but when it is consumed. He pointed out that while Americans typically throw back a cold beverage with each meal, Asians traditionally drink a hot beverage. He followed with ``if you put grease down the drain, do you follow with hot water or cold water?'' Could it be that simple? Possibly! I had 15 customers drink a Pu Erh tea called Immortal Nectar -- one cup with each meal for 17 weeks. Collectively they lost 164 lbs. I know that's a seemingly slow weight loss, but they have kept the weight off. Even better, after 6 weeks 7 of them showed a decreased in their cholesterol levels of at least 60 points. The greatest loss was 102 points in 6 weeks (as confirmed through medical exam results) Local doctors are referring their patients to me to try the tea and avoid being placed on cholesterol medication. I didn't keep track of the ongoing progress of all 15 customers. However, one has lost 124 pounds to date, another 96 pounds, another 85 pounds, another 72 pounds, and yet another 66 pounds. The rest report having kept the weight off to this day. My personal results are weight loss with Pu Erh (Immortal Nectar), loss of inches with oolong (Nine Dragons Oolong, Wuyi Oolong or Ti Kuan Yin Gold or Ti Kuan Yin Royal.) Both Pu Erh and Oolong match most meals very well. Both are especially nice with spicy food. I do not have test results for KT made with oolong or Pu Erh. Hope this helps! May you lose all you wish to lose!
