Guest guest
10's - may up it next week and use abarbell instead for variety (same weight as last week) sounds like a good idea. I might change to the bar bell next week. I've been feeling the same way lately (probably lack of sleep) but I've had very little motivation for my workouts. I've had to just make myself, but once I do it I'm so happy I did. Have a nice weekend and I hope you get the flood straightened out, that has to be a pain to mess with all the time. Guest guest
Great workout Donna! Glad to hear it made you feel really good about having done it too. Sorry to hear about your flood though, ick! Ripped to the Core Hi,Today was RTTC again. Yikes - this workout is hard. I did go up on some exercises (also went down on some, too!)Here's how it went:Lunge & Squat - 5's (did 8's last week, but I get adeeper range of motion using the 5's - this is alsothe first exercise to start with so I also like to useit as a bit of a warm-up as well)Spiders/Push-Ups - did all of the push-ups on my toesusing the TransFIRMer as a prop. Chest Presses - 10's - may up it next week and use abarbell instead for variety (same weight as last week)Deadlifts and Biceps - 10's (up from 8's) - may wantto do this with a bar next week.Plie Squat and Upright Rows - 8's (last week was 8'sand 5's)Deadlifts and Rows - 10's (up from 8's)Squat and Lateral Raise off the step - 5's and 6 inchstep (up from 5's and 3's - but I did miss some of thereps - my HR was up so high on this exercise. I mayactually go back to 5's and 3's so I can get all thereps in)Step Up and Overhead Press - 8'sand 6 inch step (upfrom 5's - last set was hard, and I did skip about 2reps)Triceps - 5's (up from 3's and 5's last week)Overall I felt great when I finished! I've beenhaving some serious motivation problems lately and ithas been a struggle to get myself to workout everymorning. I'm really glad I did this one, though -great sense of accomplishment afterwards. Of course, after I finished working out and started toput my stuff away I discovered that my basementflooded again - the sink was clogged and when thewater treatment system flushes itself out itoverflowed the sink. GRR!! So I had to clean that upand then wash all the towels - about 3 loads worthwhich are still in process now. UG! Like I need theextra work. I gotta remember to check the sink everynight to make sure nothing is in it that can clog itup. It is a huge pain to clean up the flood.Take care - TGIF!DonnaTomorrow is rest, but I'm thinking I may get up to dosome yoga or stretching, I've really been tense lately.__________________________________________________________Need a vacation? Guest guest
Thanks, Carolyn! I'm hoping that if I just keep going the motivation will return. Guest guest
did almost all of it--skipped the side squats off of the step--a few modifications here and there but enjoyed the compound exercises. jari knows how to burn calories--she is a little fitness scientist!! looking forward to tuesday!! stacey
Guest guest
I hope that dizziness stops! That's no fun. Ripped to the Core was my favorite Jari, probably for the same reason. I'm all over those compound moves. On Mon, Mar 22, 2010 at 2:16 PM, a <paulajfrey@...> wrote: > Well I got a bit delayed on the 2nd Jari workout. I didn't get it in until Sunday. OOPS! > > Ripped to the core is a bit different in that some of the moves are compound moves and your heart rate will be aup a bit more. I liked it, but not near as much as her others. I'm not a compound move gal. I feel like I can't do good form with both and fail equally. If one thing starts to fail, I sacrifice form on the other and don't fail there at all. If that makes sense. > > I am sore today, so I'm happy about that! > > Took a quick 30 minute walk at lunch. I'm REALLY dizzy today so I don't know what this evening holds as far as cardio. Its my time of the month, so it may have something to do with that and maybe migraines. Who knows. Or it may be related to my very untreated sleep apnea. I have an appointment with a new ENT(Ear, Nose, Throat doc or Otolaryngolgist) on April 9th. I'm hoping this doctor is more interested in pursuing the surgery option with me since the mask and I are not working well together. My last ENT thought I was too high risk, which I think was more about his surgery numbers than my actual risk in that particular case. > a > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
