Hey Deb, Same old, same old around here. I've got three appointments in April but nothing til then - I see my family doc on the 6th, the infectious diseases ( Dr Idiot) on the 18th & the G I on the 21st. I'm going to tell the infectious guy that I'll go for the T P assessment & hopefully he'll set it up for me, I'll let you know then. Weather's been nice here, all the snow is melting which means there are swimming pools on each corner & sand on every sidewalk - it's a mess out there. My friend Jackie has been here since Friday & I wish she'd left yesterday - she's driving me nuts. Yack yack yack - I swear she never shuts up. She's watching t v

Hiya Your Redness,

Well, today I got a letter that put me into shock. The letter was from the US Department of Health & Human Services. It says that they have determined that I am eligible for Medicaid and that as such they have enrolled me in a Medicare prescription drug coverage plan. I will pay $0 for the monthly premium, $0 for the annual deductible and a $1 or $3 copay for each prescription.

As I have been stressing BIGTIME about how I was going to pay for my meds, which are now up to $4,000.00 a month, I am absolutely flabbergasted. The Lord works in strange and wonderful ways and the power of prayer is ever strong.

I had to read the letter 3 times, once outloud, as I was shaking so much.

awww Deb, your lil birdies are sweet, isnt it amazing how a little bit of nature & our motherly instinct can make us feel good...watching life unfold..it is amazing...

In the mornin I go in for a colonoscopy..Im starvin..had 3 vanilla wafers today..so looks like supper is rollaids and Squirt!!..lol...on my 2nd 8 oz glass and the reast of the gallon to go..errrr

Allan. Wow....Congratulations . This is MAJOR news for you.!! God did bless you on this one, man!! How did this come about about? Mine (drugs) are aabout $2600.00 per month. I can't do it.. I feel as if I'm hiding from debtors now with my ss check as only income. I' m fine to anyone that is wonderining, but I sleep soooo much, Probably twenty hours a day since Iv'e been out of the hospital. this time. Hey the Gal - your memory still amazes me! Yes I have a Doctors appointment on the 23rd, but they cancelled it because my insurance (Cigna), cancelled me before sending me the cobra - so I am in the midst of fighting them. Also I know I will not be able to keep the cobra as it $375.00 a month, which I guess isn't bad for as good as insurance as I had, but with no income at all, and I don't file for SSD until the 30th, and you know how long that can take. I just don't see a way clear yet. I can't get a medical card until I am receiving SSD - which I totally don't understand. That could take 6 moths to several years, I need the medical help now.

I don't want to whine too much - as I have been told that I do too much of... LOL

So that sums it up for me for now.

I hope and pray that you all are doing well and are in good sprits, and when I have some better news to report I will definitely bring you up to date.

I don't know what to tell you about Del - haven't heard anything from him - bayla wrote and told me not to call his house no more - I still haven't figured out what that was all about, as Del had been calling me from the hospital and I could never get to the phone when he'd call, so I called his house and asked Bayla to let him know that I had called and I wasn't ignoring him. I really felt bad as I couldn't touch base with him and he kept calling. He left me a number but it was the wrong one, and when I called his house knowing Bayla would be there I was going to get the number from her, before I could even ask - I got a but chewing and she told me she wasn't giving anyone the number. So I graciously thanked her and just kindly asked her to let him know I called.

And then the next thing I know she is e-mailing me though another group telling me to never call his number again.

So Guys and Gals - that is all I can' tell you about Del situation, he should be home by now though.

You Know, I have always found peace, comfort, compassion and love in these groups, and have always felt comfortable coming to chat and ask questions, but after being gone a year and coming back - I found that there are allot of cruel people out there. They maybe don't see or get why we are all here to begin with or what brought us all together - this horrible disease called Hepatitis, and were sick, and we need one another for support and knowledge, not childish, hurtful games.

I just feel blessed that I still have you all to come to - I know you all will always be here, and I will be the same for you..

Deb HEY GIRLY... How are ya? We are all ok here. Yes we got part of the weather. AAAAHHHHHH RAIN!!! We needed it so bad here. I am still fighting this weird Chest / Allergies / Sinus thingy. But I am ok. It is not as bad. Im still very sore from my trip to Okla last week. Left here Wed and went for lab work on Thurs. Headed home Thurs. Hate those trips. From my house to my Grandmothers house is 253 miles. Another 25 to my dr. But I go to my dads he is bout 10 miles closer to the dr. Ok dont know why the miles are important lol. Im just jabbering away. lol..Spring break is over and kids back to school today. woooohooooo hehe. My sleep is tuned around. Has been for a month or more. the sleeping pills dont work anymore. I collect SSDI which I originally got in one application in 6 weeks and my subsequent review 18 months later was a no-brainer but this one knocked me for a loop. When I worked I made a lot of money so now I get the most SSDI pays and I was always told I didn't qualify for Medicaid. It wasn't an issue until my COBRA ran out in January. I'm now on Medicare and if I really qualify for Medicaid I'll be in Fat City, relatively speaking all things considered of course.
