Guest guest
I offered $35 for the 10 Minute Trainer set and told her if it was too low, I understood but that I wasn't committed to that program right now and didn't want to pay much more. She wanted at least $50 and we parted happily. I feel good about that, thanks for the comments from those who sent them. I also passed up on the bosu for $40. I am not sure how much I'd use it and can't spend that much on a toy that my kids play with more than I do. If I'd already used one a bit and was sure I'd love having one then I'd have gotten it but it was too expensive of an experiment for me at this time and I feel comfortable with that decision too. I've been trading though and got an urban rebounding video, the introductory, primarily instructional one. I know I'll outgrow it fast but it helps me to actually see how to do these things and not just read the wonderful descriptions that have been posted here and I got it for something I hated (can't remember what right now) so it was worthwhile. I've also gotten 10 Minute Solution Kickbox Bootcamp and am waiting for Cathe Legs & Glutes (VHS), Cathe Slow & Heavy (DVD) and Cathe Pyramid Upper and Lower Body (DVD). I'm getting those last two for a VHS of the FIRM Vol 3 which I hated, she wanted it badly enough that she offered me both of those and I said, no problem! I won't be using most of these anytime soon because my shoulder, nearly 2 weeks later, is still sore but not nearly so much now and my surgery is on the 18th. Oh well, they'll be waiting for me when I get back. I'm done trying the P90X stuff for now and am sending the vids back to a this week or next but am planning to hopefully purchase them in January myself, probably going through a similar route as Sara. You all have convinced me I probably don't need the books and I've got the worksheets already so it should be a reasonable purchase (though I am eyeing a pullup bar too). I didn't do any videos this whole week. Partly was trying to let my shoulder rest as much as possible, too much bouncing was even bothering it, and partly just a nutso week. The kids start school Tuesday so I'm going to see what I can get in this week and then next week I'll do some workouts, but, no matter how good my shoulder is by then, I'm not doing any really hard upper body work! I want it to be as pain free as possible before the surgery (and new pain sets in but in different areas of the same side of the body). I'll have to be able to do shoulder exercises afterwards anyway and the least distractions for that the better! That's it for me from now. I'm reading/replying when I can, which isn't often lately, off to a family bbq now!
