Guest guest
De, Question please.... The ulimate goal is to help the liver function and process the poison (bile) out so it doesn't go to the brain and cause the problems it does,,,I think. I am open for the right descripotion if that is not it. This poison is expelled from us via the small intestine, or the poop shoot. Muy docs say hat 3 to 5 BM;s a day should accomplish what we are trying tro do.. They have said I can't OD on Lactulose, but they don't want me to spend my good da7ys sitttng on the toilet. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...do you think it's it OK to st5op lactulose If I BM three or five times, or is the poison going out some othyer way too? I just got bad, surprising news from a lady, Deb, I use to work with at a M/C dealer. IHer son, Dirk, just died from Staph Infection. He was taking the stuff I am,,Xifazan in pearlform. It is the first time someone I really knew died from the same thing I have, and having the same problems as me. He was o9nly forty five. To be honest..it scares me. I don't think actually dying scares me, bgut knowing I'm VERY Staph prone, and taking the same drugs, and now I have a two teeth that need to pulled , I'm worried about infection. Enough about me and my problems with this....but I feel like a zombie kinda. i GUESS. I took 2 acetominiphin prescribed by the Dentist (w/liver doc approval for script) and I can't hold my eyes open, I didn' ty sleep last night. I found out about Dirk about one hour ago, i'M TIRED. Guest guest
Del, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I understand you being scared. When someone we know dies from something we have also, it hits home a lot more. I am not in the lactulose club, so I wouldn’t want to tell you anything except you need to take enough to get what the doc wants. Guest guest
Thank you Pat.. Xifaxan is a new (May 2004) powerfuk antibiotic to fight infection. Mostly travellers dirreah. I am so prone to staph my doctor thinks it's necessary. It is also used for people with ECOLI. The pharmacist was surposed when I had the script the fisrt time.. She said wow....thi is really strong stuff! Agreat sight to visit regarding any drug, is www.Talk Medical.com I am taking Clydimycin anti biotic for the teeth. I a little concerned about the condition of the mouth. I've always had good teeth and should've maybe brushed more, but I'm told the drugs, the DRY MOUTH, and ESLD is hard on your teeth. Salivas is REAL important.Plaque eating enzymes and washing food paticles away. My white blood count was low whenever I got the staph infections. It was explained to me that they fight off infection and after 5/6 weeks of treatment...Staph kicks my ass.I didn't know it could kill so quick.Staph I mean. My docs told me I was really lucky the first time.. I need top do research on it. The doctors said I was very kucky the last two times...this time was all diferent.I asked, but had trouble getting answers to my questions,,All different staff and docs. I have to wait for the teeth ( to be pulled until we are sure there is no infection. THEN we gotta' watch I didn't pick anything up from her office. No direspect to her or her office, I've never been there, but thst is where Staph seems to hangout.. BTW!!! I have not researched this but I have been told that staph flourishes in "NATURAL", Spomges.the kind alot clean their bodies. Thanks again... Guest guest
Hey Del, I just had all my teeth out in September. The dentist said it was from years of dry mouth from my meds! He said I should have been brushing 5 or 6 times a day & swishing water around too. Why don't they put that on the info sheet you get with the med??? My teeth started breaking at the gum line so there was no way to save them. I've got false teeth now. If you can SAVE YOUR TEETH believe me falsies are suck so do anything you can to save the originals. H & K, SuZie Del Compton <go_deliman@...> wrote: Thank you Pat.. Guest guest
I have lost numerous teeth to this thing and I'm getting ready to lose another one. One of the fun things with ESLD is that you lose the bone material in your jaw and your teeth literally fall out.
