Guest guest
Hi, We have talked about all meeting in one destination city like Vegas or something like that. Guest guest
Yep, that would be an expensive run....room rates would be the highest. That date is a little too close....the reservations are hard to come by now. I think we are thinking more of a Summer sort of date. We have to consider the cost of travel and rooms plus you have people in various stages of the tx or recovery. We will keep the trip in mind and find what fits. Guest guest
Hi to everyone! Sounds like people are doing OKAY, Good!! Me too! I have a couple questions.comments. I guess I missed something... Who is the new girl? ( HI!! New Girl. Welcome to a great place. My whole attitude is changing for the better!! Really! I have lived in my (banks) townhouse for one year. No major changes have been made to the property, but...I am looking at things SOOOO differently now! When I go in the garage, I see where a workbench and lighting and shelves can go. I see a floor with gray and black tile (so I can act like Jay Leno, haha). There is a bayou 100 yds from me, that runs for miles all the way to the center of Houston. I already have a KAYAK!! Why didn't I think of this before? There is room(alot) along to Bayou to hit golf balls. I have my own Driving Range!! My neighbor is going to get me a bike for free!! YEA!!!! Now i can ride to the convenience store, Home Depot, a real nice Park and a huge grocery store! ALL ON THE SIDEWALK!! I already have a full face M/C helmet, full black leathers, gloves, biker boots, and about anything else I may need for protection... I feel like I'm 16 getting my first car!! I can go somewhere without asking someone to take me...plus it's a little exercise!! Do y'all think people will point at me in my biker attire while riding a three wheeler bicycle with a tall orange flag and a big basket in the back?? On the sidewalk?? Tell me the truth now..... I wouldn't want to bee embarrassed..... HAIR LOSS: Dick... your sick, your hair it will grow back.. chemo is the reason for the follicles you lack. There are women that go crazy for a head that's nice and slick.. In a room full of other men.. It's YOU that they will pick! The chemo doesn't last THAT long, and alas, nor does your luck, the ladies, they don't notice you, they may even think "you suck"!! Enjoy this time, to walk around and remember what I've said.. People will go crazy!! and beg to rub your head!!! Have Fun with it!! You'll hear alot of great bald jokes!!! Oh yes... Don't EVER wear a turtle neck sweater... people will say you look like a bottle of Ban Roll On deodorant!!!!!!!!!!!! Santa Fe and Taos is pretty cool,,, but Vegas has really spent alot our money on fantastic stuff to see. God Bless everyone!! Guest guest
Hi Suzie and Sandy and Spark!! In an earlier post, I asked who the new girl is. I forgot it was you. I'm fairly new and get a little confused as to what name goes where. I understand where your coming from about the money situation. Whenever I go on a trip 'I really can't afford', Even though I may have saved specifically for that trip, unless it's a necessity, the little voice creeps up and says... you could spend this money on blah blah blah. It's a tuff call sometimes, but we need to release our tension occasionally. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I'm not sure where you live, and I'm not trying to get hopes up, too much... but it can't hurt to look at all possibilities. Friends raising money for a "SUZI'S DAY OFF" benefit? I'm assuming Spyke is a pet...or a punk rocker, or rapper. If he's a pet, would someone watch him for a coupla' of days? Hotel?? I'm sure someone would room with you and split it, and....if we are going to Vegas, you just might win a coupla' hundred on the slots and be in REAL GOOD SHAPE at home, I'm not promoting gambling...as an OC I had my bout with that as well....as matter of fact.. I'll bet you $5.00 that I don't gamble anymore!!! LOL!! Hey Suzie....no pressure, if ya' can't...ya' can't. Yous pays your nickle and yous takes your chances... Ever seen Vegas?? Guest guest
Sorry Del but I'm not the new girl (I've been here since almost the beginning) our newest girl is Bayla. So I guess "the new girl" would be her. You're right about SpYke although he'd fight you about the "pet" thing. He's the G O T - Galactic Overlord in Training so he's the boss & I'm the pet. I have neighbours who could look after him for a few days but he'd be real mad at me, I don't know if I can survive an angry SpYke, I still have scars from the last time he was peeved with me. Sandy was my last cat before SpYke. He died at the advanced age of 22 almost three years ago. I miss him soooo much. I live up here in the Great White North - Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada & I'm on disability so I can't afford a trip out of town much less out of the country. I will be going to southern Ontario sometime this year for a pretransplant assessment. The Disability should pay for it but I'm not sure. There's a travel grant for people like me but it's more of a reimbursement than a grant. You go, bring back receipts & submit them, if they feel like it they'll give you some of it back. I've been to Vegas, years ago my Dad paid for all of the girls to go. It's nice but I'm allergic to sunshine & I don't gamble. My sister got married in Vegas, it was nice. I've got to go, got an appointment up at Disability - need new glasses. H & K, SuZieDel Compton <go_deliman@...> wrote: Hi Suzie and Sandy and Spark!! In an earlier post, I asked who the new girl is. ALL ON THE SIDEWALK!!I already have a full face M/C helmet, full black leathers, gloves, biker boots, and about anything else I may need for protection... I feel like I'm 16 getting my first car!! I can go somewhere without asking someone to take me...plus it's a little exercise!!Do y'all think people will point at me in my biker attire while riding a three wheeler bicycle with a tall orange flag and a big basket in the back?? On the sidewalk?? Tell me the truth now..... I wouldn't want to bee embarrassed..... HAIR LOSS:Dick... your sick, your hair it will grow back..chemo is the reasonfor the follicles you lack. There are women that go crazyfor a head that's nice and slick..In a room full of other men..It's YOU that they will pick! The chemo doesn't last THAT long, and alas, nor does your luck, the ladies, they don't notice you, they may even think "you suck"!! Enjoy this time, to walk aroundand remember what I've said..People will go crazy!!and beg to rub your head!!! Have Fun with it!! You'll hear alot of great bald jokes!!!Oh yes... Don't EVER wear a turtle neck sweater... people will say you look like a bottle of Ban Roll On deodorant!!!!!!!!!!!! Santa Fe and Taos is pretty cool,,, but Vegas has really spent alot our money on fantastic stuff to see.God Bless everyone!!Deliman Dick Southern <southern@...> wrote: I am just going to hang out and see what happens......this too shall pass. Guest guest
I had that when my thyroid first whacked out. But I only had a few patches.
