Guest guest
Hi, There's a young man with autism at my son's special school. His brother asked me about something , and I thought that someone here may know about it. He's 18, non verbal, he's been on Risperdal for years. It's not unusual for him to have sleeping problems, but last night he stayed up till 6 am, and the question is about his breathing. It was abnormal. When he inhaled the inhalation is interrupted, as if he's whimping, taking several very short breaths before exhaling. Otherwise he didn't show other abnormal signs or behavior. He doesn't have congestion. He woke up two hours later and his breathing was normal. Did you see or hear about such breathing ? Do you know the cause? Could it be related to Risperdal, although he's been taking it for years? Thank you, Noura
