She loves to be on the computer at home.... at school.... they have been letting her use an ipod..... I am not familiar with either pod or pad.... so - could someone explain the difference to me? and would this be something we should get for her? and why does it seem to help? They are kind of costly but he can inter react more and there are many free apps for schooling, games, reading. My older son who is 16 has the Ipod. This cost about 200. They can both do the same thing. I think that the IPod is more durable and smaller hand size than the Ipad. My 8 year old dropped IPad 2 and it shattered screen inside thank goodness they replaced it as a courtesy. I personally would go IPod for its durability and size. The ipad is a bit more expensive but it has bigger hard drive space and is faster over all than the ipod.I would recommend an ipad over the ipod.Elaine I am just as unfamiliar with the two as the original poster! Guest guest Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 I looked into the previous question about downloading the same things for ipod and ipad and what it was telling me is that some apps are specifically for ipad. The IPad can go both places in home and church. i purchased a case for the ipad to protect it at amazon.com. My older son has the Ipod as stated earlier and he watches movies, facebook, and downloads things and many things he downloads from itunes transfer over to the ipad since they are on the same acct. Hope this helps. You have even more cost than simply buying a good one. has educational games, movies, pecs,etc on hers.She knows how to find what she wants on the ipad. They don't weigh much and I have a good cover for it. We don't let her carry it.
