Guest guest
Congratulations ! I'm curious if he was 56 in the beginning or did he get 56 degrees correction in this third cast?I hope the cast is perfect for what he needs! I didn't think this was even a possiblity this early on, and the Dr said he wasn't even sure we would be able to get down that low. I am a little concerned though, what if it is to tight? We live 13 hours away, so it is not an easy trip for us. Has anyone had any experience with just a big impro vement or anything that might cause a problem for him? Thanks guys. Guest guest
Becky thanks!, He started off at a 56, in his first cast he went to a 23 and then in the 2nd he was a 19. He is finally out of recovery, and has finally stopped crying. The meds make him so cranky and anger, but once they wear off he is fine. > > > I am actually sitting in the surgical waiting room at the Shriner's in Greenville. Guest guest
I know it can be so stressful and scary! We only started casting in December, and have done good so far. This group has been a blessing. If you ever need anyone to talk to give feel free to send me an email, and I'll get you my number. > > > My son had 40* correction. Guest guest
So glad they're looking at zero! Kylie is in cast 5 we're down to less than 15 now and a new cast goes on in two weeks. Glad he's bouncing back from the meds. They do make them quite emotional! Kylie is usually good once we can settle her enough to convince her to eat. Within minutes of juice and a few cookies she is usually talking about getting ready to go home!Yay Dylan!!On 2012-04-26, at 10:26 AM, wrote: Becky thanks!, He started off at a 56, in his first cast he went to a 23 and then in the 2nd he was a 19. Guest guest
Hey --- Dr P was able to get Logan from 45 down to 14 with the first cast. It wasnt uncomfortable for him that I saw, but I did give him motrin the first night just in case.
