I was told the same thing with Logan. That crawling and walking were going to be delayed. He actually crawled and walked on time. He was crawling right after we have the cast applied and was walking at 11 months. Even without a cast all kids develop differently, so I wouldnt freak too much if you lil one is a little later. It is a 3-5 pound cast! I think Logan had the strongest baby legs in America at the time! haha! My husband used to joke that we were just weight training him.

Dont fret! He will get there =)

Logan's mama (45 down to 7, 13th cast, 2 1/2 years old)

When did they first walk and crawl? I'm just curious. My son Jay was put in his first cast at 7 months. He's now 9 months. (he gets his first cast removed in two weeks-yay!) He was able to sit unassisted pretty quickly again after being casted, but has not shown any interest in crawling yet. Our dr said that it will likely be delayed. I know all children are different, but I'm just curious what others experiences are with this!As a side note....I'm really not in a rush for him to be mobile. His older sister is 21 months. (they're a year apart) Chasing two toddlers around the house will be a big challenge! Haha. Thanks guys.

Addyson was 8 months old when she got her 1st cast. She was already crawling and couch cruising. The first cast she couldn't really sit so we held her fingers and she walked a lt. She also used the jumperoo alot and a walker. She did learn to crawl but basically she learned to walk when she was 9 months and hasn't stopped since. I have heard that some kids are delayed and some have not been. I guess it depends on the child. For your sake I don't know if I would want to chase 2 around either:)

(mother to Addyson, 23 months, cast #9, 14 degrees out, 0 in)
