Guest guest
My almost one year old son, Jay, got his third cast last Thursday. I'm so thankful that we got some more improvement, 34 degrees out of cast, 15 in new cast. (he started at 48-50 degrees). The dr also said his spine felt much more flexible this time, which is also good news as its always been rigid! At this point we realize it's going to be a slow process, but I'm perfectly okay with that. On to my beach question. We're going on vacation next week. Our dr gave the ok to take him down on beach (to walk along shore, in carrier) but advised to keep a shirt on and be very careful. I'm just curious whether anyone here has done this. It makes me very nervous but at the same time I'd really like to at least get him out a little each day! For the record, we asked about Jay taking a " cast break " , but our dr believes you lose a little progress, something we aren't willing to give up right now! Thanks for any input/advice.
