Guest guest
We are casting with Dr. C in Philly and I just removed 's first cast last weekend! Yes, I did it myself with the tinner snips and it was not hard at all! I meticulously scheduled all of 's check-ups and procedures on Monday and Tuesday so the cast could go back on Wed. Unfortunately, one procedure turned into a two-night hospital stay and we missed our casting appointment. Now we can't get back in until next week! I REALLY hope we don't lose the progress from the first cast - if there even was any. On top of that, the hospital increased his feeding goal and there's no way he'll make it without a feeding tube. I'd like to get him a G-tube, but how do I coordinate that with casting? Can you get a G-tube with the cast on? If not, do you have to let it heal before re-casting? Thanks, Delinda Mom to , 16 months old.
