Our hospital had those too which is how we ended up w the britax frontier actually. Our son is now 5, so he just needed a larger seat. We had a really awesome hospital that provided us with a Britax Hippo carseat, which is supposed to be specially designed for children in spica casts, but it worked really well for us, too. I would recommend it... if you can afford it (it's super expensive)!! Unfortunately for us, our doctor at that hospital wasn't as awesome, so we ended up eventually transferring care to SCL Shriners and we're very happy with our new doctor -- but we're still thankful to our former hospital for the carseat!
