Guest guest
Hi Everyone... I really need your help. We received our brace to start implementing last Friday - gradually increasing the time my son has the cast on, until it is on for 22 - 23 hours per day. Last night was our first overnight, and it was not good. We are on holidays, so he was not in his bed, and was probably over tired, but what a mess. He woke up every 20 - 30 minutes grabbing at the brace, and saying it hurt. He could not communicate what was bothering him, other than pointing at the spots we know are pressure points. He is 4 years old, and has been so amazing with everything. I hate to see him suffer. We were supposed to have it on for 8 hours last night, and he only made it to 3. We have been progressing well with it during the day, he doesn't notice when he is busy. If anyone has had a similar experience, and would be willing to offer up suggestions I would appreciate it. I spent most of the night just watching him to make sure he is OK. I have also called the orthotic clinic to see if they can help out, but as parents we know best what works. Thanks again for you support... Stacee
