Guest guest
After a great day yesterday in Cincinnati visiting with two other families going through this journey, Brayden got his second cast today. He was 21 degrees out of cast, and 0 degrees in cast! When Dr. S said he was straight in cast, we were both like " Straight? " LOL! Couldn't believe it...still got a ways to go...but awesome news! Also wanted to share this...went to a restaurant for dinner last night....it was really good, and our server made small talk with us and asked Brayden's name, where we were from, etc. We told her we were staying in town so that tomorrow we could go to Children's and get Brayden's next body cast to correct his scoliosis. Well, she went and told the main manager how nice we were and that we were heading to Children's tomorrow and he came over and said our entire meal was on the house and that he wanted to add a little happiness to our medical issues and it was the least he could do. We did share a picture of Brayden in his cast and he sat down and asked a bunch of questions and wanted to know all about it. We were shocked to say the least...and they've gained a return customer every time we are in town. That manager and server went above and beyond. Curt and Eryn Parents of Brayden 42 degrees to 21 degrees out of cast, 0 in cast!
Guest guest
Wow, that's great news!!! How old is your son? My son is 7 months, and just got his first cast. (48 degrees out, 22 in). I'd be so excited if we had that kind of correction! So happy for you. > > After a great day yesterday in Cincinnati visiting with two other families going through this journey, Brayden got his second cast today. Guest guest
Brayden is 17 months old, started with cast 1 at 15 months. You had an awesome first cast too...we have to keep telling ourselves it's a process and takes time, but as parents we want to fix our kids fast and in this case it's not possible. You are doing awesome and from our perspective...the right thing!
