Guest guest
No, it's not ok (IMHO and that's only my personal opinion). You'd better ask physical therapist (or doctor) because using such gadet depends on the baby quality of neurological and muscle development. If infant is completely healthy - it does not matter. In your case she's not healthy and (as I assume from your post you are in a diagnostic process) it may matter. So wait for a diagnosis and ask someone who is speciatlist and saw(!) the baby. We know nothing about your daughter, so any advice is just a random advice.MP From: <davelainer@...> infantile scoliosis treatment Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2012 11:33 PM Subject: Re: 8 month old standing while holding furniture....is this okay? Thanks very much to everybody who responded to my post. I appreciate the advice! mentioned a DVD called A New Direction and I was wondering where I would get a hold of this? I was also wondering whether putting baby in a Baby Bjorn carrier is okay and if so should she face inwards or outwards? Thanks again for any replies. > > I would just let her do what she wants. Guest guest
Hey david---We casted our son Logan at 9 months old. We tried to do everything to keep him crawling as long as possible. If she is already pulling up, there is probably nothing is going to stop her! We took everything that helped with walking away. All the walkers, pushers, jumper roos went away. Anything we possibly could do to keep him on his belly and crawling we did. We didnt encourage walking until he got into cast. Good luck with everything! Guest guest
david, Put in a search on you tube the new direction videos are on there in 3 parts & we sure found them to be helpful. Mehta does have some tips for carrying baby. so I think your question will be answered after watching. She does show a dad holding a baby facing out but I don't remember if they were using a carrier.
