Guest guest
Yoga of the Breath for People Living with HIV is launching in the East Bay. This program will be held March 20-27, 2009 at Preservation Park, Oakland, California. We were initially going to have this first course exclusively for women, hence the daytime hours so that single women would not have to be concerned about childcare. We have since changed that stance, and this course is open to anyone who is living with HIV, including men, women, transgender individuals. Family members of an HIV positive individual are also welcome, as are caseworkers or staff of any organization serving the HIV community. The program is an 8-day program. The only requirements are commitment to attend each day - as each day builds on the previous one. Participants must be recreational drug-free for minimum 2 weeks, and alcohol-free for minimum 24 hours. The course is held in an atmosphere of nurturing and community. At the end of the course, participants have a program of skills that can be utilized for a lifetime to enhance immunity, rekindle enthusiasm for life, and increase longevity and quality of life. We are fortunate, at this time, to be able to offer this program without charge for people living with HIV. Please encourage your clients, their family members, your colleagues or staff members to come and take advantage of this opportunity. We look forward to serving the HIV community in the East Bay. This is the same course that it provided regularly at Quan Yin Healing Arts Center in San Francisco. With respect,Francesca A , DC DirectorYoga of the Breath for People Living With HIV (415) 722-3930-- Healthfully & Electronically, GoldmanSan Francisco
