Guest guest
Hey Beth! Jelly bags are simply a cloth suspended by a glorified wire contraption that allows the fluid to pass thru and keep the thick stuff back. I have one (not used yet), bought it at Fleet Farm for about $10 I think, included a bag. Bags are around $3 each. It is a nice way to strain out all the goodies from fruits when making jams and jellies, keep tomato seeds back, etc. Or, you can find a large stock pot and large strainer, line the strainer with a layer of cheese cloth or flour sack towel, pour broth in and let it drain that way. My cats (outdoor types) love all the bones and other goodies. They eat them with no problems, same with the dogs when they get a few from the cats. Seems to be a treat waiting for them. But the outdoor cats may fare better with chomping on the bones and such since they are used to hunting and eating " wild " food.
