Guest guest
After decided to do something about the growing gynecomastia (most likely from my use of Sustiva and maybe also propeica) I settled on Tamoxifen per my doc who had me on 20 mg, which I cut down to 10 mg most of the time because of the sexual side effects and dry skin. Now I am sure it was very slowly working, I have seen about a 25 percent reduction of the gyno in the last few months, and my doc confirmed it yesterday. But I have hit another snag, it seems the Tamoxifen may be making my lipoatrophy to get worse.(My dermatologist confirmed this to) I have been using Sculptra and since being on Tamoxifen its not lasting nearly as long. Also my hands and feet seemed to have gotten more boney since the last several months on Tamoxifen. I have done a google search of Tamoxifen and lipoatrophy and or lipodystrophy and I come across several articles that may explain why the Tamoxifen may be making the fat loss worse. They are pretty complicated so I just scanned them briefly but it seems like its plausible that it may not be a good thing for Sculptra users. Part of the problem is of course there are so few men that have ever been on the breast cancer drug Tamoxifen for gynecomastia that's a result of Sustiva who also have had their faces rebuilt with Sculptra...lol Oh well, guess I will have to live with it...AlA Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
