Guest guest Posted July 21, 2012 Report Share Posted July 21, 2012 Ok grape leaves are in the crock with the cucumbers and spices. I have a glass bowl with water in it and a lid as my weight to keep the cucumbers in the brine. Its covered with a with a white dish clothe held in place by a rubber band. We are on day five. I check it every day. The last few days it has been a little slimy and bubbly on top. I wash the weight off and put it back each time. I tried a bit of one yesterday. I sliced off part of one. It was still cucumbery but getting a little pickly. So i figure I'm on track. Is it suppose to be slimy like that? t Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
