Guest guest
Thanks Jax, they're running more tests, I should have some resolution real soon.. My Primary doctor was oh, so very kind, and that I needed. I didn't have to ask to have tests ran, he ordered many and ran many today. X-rays looked good, blood work should be back on Monday. How he managed my GI, I'll never know, but THEY just called ME with an appointment with him (the GI) for the 13th of this month.. Trust me, that's like wining the Lotto.. Primary suspects it is all upper gastro, and perhaps still related to the GERDS, which I do have, but he's looking at anemia (possible bleeding from biopsy), possible ulcer, possible pancreatitis. and more. They took many tubes of blood.. I have lost 14 pounds, he told me to stop NOW.. I have already surpassed where I wanted to be to start on a lower dose of treatment. If nothing specific shows up in the blood tests, he will change my GERDS meds and then take it from there, but am at least on my way to some resolution.. While I was there, I picked up a copy of the last viral load which my GI ran earlier this month, bad news, it was UP, that virus really is raging, I want to treat asap, before it causes more problems.. I am still hoping for later this month, early next, at the latest. That was sure the final deciding factor for me.. Dragon has got to GO.. Thanks for hangin' in with me, it's been a mighty long 6 months.. Guest guest
well Sheena, it HAS been a long 6 months for you but it IS SO necessary to make sure that YOU are where you need to be in order to have a successful treatment.. and to learn everything you can about this virus and how treatment can work etc.. Do they think you are bleeding somewhere and are anemic? Well when ONE doc calls the other, for some reason, they ALWAYS find time to see ya,, but if YOU are the one calling, well they wont budge.. sad,, but true... Your viral load CAN vary a lot even within 24-48 hours,, so while it may be up, it may NOT mean that its worse and it might lower in time as well.. did you find out what GRADE of inflammation you have? THAT is MORE the info to tell you IF ITS RAGING or just puttering along... Im sure you have already answered that but I can't remember the grade number ,,, Hang in there Sheena,, YOU ARE A WARRIOR,,, and you are gonna beat this dragon,, hugs honey, jaxSheena <mom4possums2002@...> wrote: Thanks Jax, they're running more tests, I should have some resolution real soon.. Guest guest
I know I needed this time to prepare, and prepare I did, joined this List immediately (THANK GOD for you all) and continue even today to research.. I am probably as ready as I will ever be.. Biopsy showed me to be at Stage 1, Grade 1. Primary is at a bit of lost with the worsening pain, it's bad, and why he is looking at any possible cause.. Blood tests should be back on Monday, I see the GI on the 13th. I am basically ready to begin... I really don't want anything else to stand in my way.. Thanks, Jax, and all, I am sure hoping to be strong.. A big thanks also to and Everett, you both truly helped me to prepare to proceed.. Guest guest
I'm pleasantly surprised it's not any harder than it is. I still have a long way to go, but reading of others' experience and the strong support here make it an easier haul, all the way. YES, you CAN do it Sheena, you also have a strong spirit.
