Guest guest
The first time I was on treatment I was on the peg-intron and rebetrol, the second time I was on treatment I was on the pegasys and the co-pegasys. I do not blame the medication for me not reaching SVR but the factors involved. When I was on the peg-intron I was about 215 lbs. It does not work as well on overweight people. I knew that going in. It did kick some virus butt tho, I got my virus count down to 1500. Hey that ain't bad for a old gal. LOL On the Pegasy, I reached non-detectable by 12 weeks, but failed to stay non-detectable after 48 weeks. Like Jackie and other have said, and I definately believe it. I should have stayed on 72 weeks after reaching undetectable. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it. LOL Love JanetTake the ordinary things of life, and make them your own. Guest guest
I appreciate your reply, Janet. I see the GI doc later today, going to let him do the talking this time, he may now be willing for me to start treatment since the biopsy is complete.. I am sure not looking forward to this appointment, though, and I hope he's nicer than he was last time.. :-0 Hugs, Sheena Janet <doc_jade@...> wrote: The first time I was on treatment I was on the peg-intron and rebetrol, the second time I was on treatment I was on the pegasys and the co-pegasys. Guest guest
I wonder if the Pegasys causes more weight loss? I have lost 20 pounds since starting tx 14 weeks ago... which is a lot considering I was only 115 and now down to 95. I also have had problems with low WBC and have been on neupo. The pegasys IS working, though... I am undetectable!! Re: Sheena According to my dh, I look anorexic. Fruit, dry cereal, and yogurt is about all I can tolerate. And if I eat too much at once I feel like I have pounds of rocks in my tummy... very painful. Oh well, only 10 more weeks to go and I'm sur I'll gain a few pounds back!! The fish are biting.
