In fact, it usually seems to be the case that there isn't anything on most of the time, then all the good shows will be on, at night, at the same time. I wish we could pick the channels we want. I don't want ESPN 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 or Home Shopping Network and it's many spinoffs.
Guest guest
>I would think today the problem would be too many choices.< Yes, I'd have to agree with that. It's not just too many choices and I question whether that itself has spawned the use of too many convenient things to where no one feels like they need to exercise or too many excuses for doing anything. mikecarrie01 <mikecarrie01@...> wrote: >>"You know its a bad when the only thing on is a movie marathon of old > Godzilla movies." > That sounds like a problem from 1974 when there were only 5 channels, rather than today. Guest guest
>That doesn't mean that there is anything worth watching on any of them. < There's another point. T.V. steals valuable time away and makes people not realize what is actually going on in the world. It also distorts kids' perception of what reality is and what to expect. That's a perfect tool for people like Monsanto to just do their own business without any publicity and the other companies who only present the ideal picture of the possibilities that could theoretically happen when they change the chemical structure of animals and plants to support the massive poisoning of the world. Guest guest
Here's an interesting idea... Have the cable companies pay you if you watch a channel that is a 24/7 commerical such at QVC, HSN and the rest... They already have that technology and the technology from " ala carte " program packages... The key is the cable companies don't want you to have the choice... They make big money selling access to your brain to any one that is willing to pay them... the strange thing is they make us pay them from making our brains available to any " religious cult, " " pitch-man, " etc that is willing to pay them... It really is a sick sad world... Ender At 08:10 PM 5/26/2006, you wrote: THAT technology is coming. mikecarrie01 <mikecarrie01@...> wrote: > > > " There are a lot of choices and channels.
