Guest guest
Relating to the post I just answered, as I said, my 12 month old son recently started refusing breastmilk--both from the tap and pumped and in bottles/sippies/etc. Kind of a long story, but one theory is that he is sensitive to the dairy/gluten I reintroduced into my diet prior to the nursing strike. So I am going back to eliminating dairy and gluten from all of our diets, but now that he is still not accepting breastmilk I really want to get some sort of high quality milk-type of drink into him. I feel like the coconut milk I see is often a processed, sugary concoction and I'm not sure that the store bought coconut kefir is all that healthy. I have also thought about doing water kefir. I gave him a tiny bit of his sister's kombucha and he started begging for more. I just don't want him to have the caffeine. Any thoughts on good subsitutions? Or should I just stick to water and forego any subsitutions?
