Here's : > Thanks for posting this! I want to put in a plug for Salatin's new book, " Folks, This Ain't Normal " . It is really, really good. And he shares a lot about himself. Who knew that his primary focus in college was debate?! It really shows in the book. He knows how to put out a very non-mainstream argument in a way that doesn't offend yet pulls no punches. This book should be required reading for every American. It has the potential to change this nation's thinking about food. Gail
Guest guest
Will, I don't see 's rebuttal on the NYT site. Do you know if they're planning to run it? Thanks for sharing it.
Guest guest
'sounds like there's a need for several of us to write to the Times and ask why there isn't a rebuttal, or supply a rebuttal ourselves. We can sway public opinion just by getting our voices out there and, as Will indicated in a recent post, acting positively FOR what we believe in. Another relevant book is Turn Here Sweet Corn by Atina Diffley, especially relevant to you all who live in Minneosta. It's a delightful combination of romance and reality in relationships, the hard challenges of providing the food you eat (literally, since they supply Minneapolis markets), very practical tips on working WITH the soil and plants and the rhythms of nature. I highly recommend it. L On Tue, Apr 17, 2012 at 6:14 AM, cowartbeth <cowartbeth@...> wrote: > Will, I don't see 's rebuttal on the NYT site. Do you know if they're > planning to run it?
