Guest guest
I get many regular vitamins from Vitascost.com, free shipping on orders over $49 Since you live in MN, vitamin D is a must in the winter. There is not enough sun, nor is it warm enough to have enough skin exposed to get the sun if you tried in the winter. And even if you vitamin d levels are pretty good, it doesn't hurt to take more. BUT if you your vitamin d levels are really low, you should be taking quite a large supplement until they get higher. Really the only way is to go get tested. You could request your dr to add it on to your regualr annual exam/bloodwork. Codliver oil or other fish oil is probably important too, unless you eat fish minimum 1-2 times weekly. I am not taking any as of right now because I do not know what I really need to take. I don't like to take alot of extra just what I need, but don't really know what that would be and how the best way to find out is? Any ideas on how to go about figuring this out without going to a doctor or specialist? Thanks
Guest guest
To my way of thinking there is only ONE good source for all things vitamin, mineral, supplement and that is SWANSON'S VITAMINS of Fargo, ND. Go to swansonsvitamins.com or call toll-free at 800-437-4148, a 24 hour-7 day number, where you will get a cheerful operator (in Fargo, no less!) who basically has the catalog memorized. I don't know how they do this but they do. Swanson's sources every single brand that is of merit, plus they have their own private label ( " Swanson's " ) which, I think are the best of all. Best of all they sell WHOLESALE to the public whether you buy one bottle or a case. Shipping to our basic area is amazingly inexpensive, plus they will expedite your order for less than $2. You can order on-line but you might want to request one of their paper catalogs because in each edition there is a tremendous amount of scientific research and backgrounding about modern thought on the best supplements. For example I learned about the tocotrienols being critical in Vitamin E supplements probably 5 years ago by reading the data in the catalog. The only minor problem is that you will get a catalog every month, which stack up, a problem I solve by giving them to others. Trad-Foods MN has a registered account, under my email address as the " user name " which is holistic@.... If you list that as your REFERRAL SOURCE when you place your first order our groups get a tiny perk which I apply as a donation to our group activities, primarily FARMESOTA events. I've added a couple of FILES on our home page regarding the basics of supplements that could be considered, primarily summarizing lists generated by JERRY BRUNETTI (and others). it's the time of year to keep your nutrient intake up there, it's probably not all in your food at this time of the year! Guest guest
I agree. I have been ordering from them for a couple of years now and been extremely happy. Plus if you get on their email list you'll get coupon codes - discounts and often free shipping or both.
