Washington D.C.'s Premiere Radio Show on the Food Scene

Nycci Nellis and her husband host a Washington, D.C. food oriented

radio show, Foodie and the Beast, which airs Sundays from 11am-12:00pm. This

Sunday, January 8, 2011, their guests will be Sally Fallon Morell, President

of the Weston A. Price Foundation <http://westonaprice.org> , cheesemaker

and author of <http://newtrendspublishing.com> Nourishing Traditions

cookbook. Sally's interview will be followed by raw milk and food freedom

activist, Liz Reitzig, Founder of the new Farm Food Freedom Coaltion

<http://FarmFoodFreedom.org> . Please tune in and tell your friends!

The show will introduce Sally's new farm in land, P.A. Bowen Farmstead

<http://pabowenfarmstead.com> , to the DC food scene, and will explore her

reasons for becoming a farmer and cheesemaker. Liz Reitzig will tell her raw

milk journey and how being denied raw milk access in the state of land

led her to become a leading crusader for this nutritious food. She will tell

listeners about her latest project, the Raw Milk Freedom Riders

Like the Don Imus show, this radio show is videotaped, edited and aired

later on TV on the NBC DC Nonstop show, usually the following Friday. I will

update this post once the TV airdate is firm, so check back to this blog

post for that information!
