Guest guest
Hi, my husband is being encouraged to lower his cholesterol. We eat TF at least 75% of the time at home (most of what I cook) So good fats, happy meat (not all necessarily pastured, but at least we know which farm it came from!) happy eggs about 50% of the time, non-hemogenized milk at least 50% of the time, mostly gluten free, soaked grains, fairly low use of natural sugars, etc. When he's out on his own, he's on his own. He does have a few bad habits (gummy candies, pop, potato chips, etc are a few) but I know he doesn't indulge too often, as they are very rarely present at home. But with his triglyceriedes, he'll have to indulge much less. So my game plan is to start leaning a little more paleo. Summer will be much easier as we have CSA veggies and the farmers market too. From what I have gathered from the less mainstream info I came across googling, inflammation is a possible contributor to high cholesterol levels, and perhaps more specifically liver inflammation. I wondering if something like a liver clense/detox or a liver support supplement might help? Any experience/advice/tips out there?
Guest guest
A friend of mine has several really interesting posts about cholesterol on her blog that might be of interest. May want to follow all the links from the original one. http://movingstronglyforward.typepad.com/moving_strongly_forward/2009/08/cho lesterol-new-news.html Josie From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of flightgoddess14 Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2012 10:10 PM Subject: Liver detox/support/supplements for high cholesterol?
