Guest guest
Dr Lustig and other in a 7 part series on the cause of obesity and the growing list of diseases called the Metabolic Syndrome. He argues in this video series and others, that sugar (fructose in particular) is a toxin (like alcohol) in the sense that it can only be metabolized in the liver. And, sugar, like alcohol, can be handled in small doses but in excess, wreak havoc and premature death. What prompted me to post this is Kathy-Jo & #39;s recent post. This video series explains in scientific detail how sugar can be powerfully addictive and cause the same type of brain damage as cocaine. http://www.uctv.tv/search-details.aspx?showID=23305
