Guest guest
It is said that time arrows are asymmetrical and point from the past to the future with connectivity from the past through to present and onwards into the future. The advanced potential remains as the constant overall. This, of course, is part of a larger discussion concerning the second law of thermodynamics. Walter Ritz argued in 1909 that the solution of the wave equation of the ultraviolent catastrophe in terms of the retarded [his term, not mine] versus advanced potential established a genuine difference between the past and the future. The counter argument to Ritz's argument was that the wave equation could equally well use the end state and operate with the help of the advanced potential rather than in terms of the end state. It's an interesting topic to say the least and always one worthy of great debate and animated discussion. Raven
