Hi it is nice to hear how you are doing,, and it sounds like you are managing quite well.,. and I just wanted to say that I wouldnt worry too much about tiny air bubbles,, as you are NOT injecting them into a blood vessel anyway, it goes into the soft tissue and will just be reabsorbed,, so dont get all worked up over it, just tap it with the needle upwards and then try to discharge the air as best you can and then dont worry about it... honest,, jaxCheckers2001 <simplicity53@...> wrote: Hi all,Just did my week 8 injection. Still have trouble with those feisty air bubbles. Still don't feel real confident but at least I'm doing it lol.Have had some pretty heavy fatigue, itchy skin, dry eyes, etc... but I seem to perk back up if I get enough sleep and am careful with what food I put in my system. I have been using an occassional 25mg of benedryl before bedtime when I can tell it is really going to be rough going finding that dreamland. The sleep seems to make a lot of difference in how I am feeling and the nurse recommended trying the benedryl and seeing if it helped. It does - I sure appreciate sleeping through the night these days! My wbc is down to 2.2 but my rbc is still in the low normal range. Platelets are just under the normal range 127, Lymph low at 0.8, neut low at 1.1. I was a little discouraged that my ALT and AST came up but they are still in the normal range at 25 and 28. I

have a doctor appointment next Monday. The weather here has finally found winter. It's a three hour drive so if the weather is bad I'll have to cancel. They said not to worry - they'll reschedule but want me to get up there within the week if possible. Have to hope for the best.Definitely feeling my attitude drupping a bit - but looking for the that lift of spirit - hmmm - maybe it's time to take a belly dancing class or drop it for a bit of yoga! Or maybe a session of snow ball throwing with my two furry dogs! Hope everyone is feeling okay. Just wanted to check in :-).with love and light, karenJackie

Actually they've been sending me prefilled syringes and I'm just suppose to give

it a hard

tap and push the air out. I think there's suppose to just be one bubble - or at

least that's

how it looked the first time when I had help. I do draw back to check for

blood. The

nurse who did it with me the first night didn't have me draw back very much,

almost

seemed like nothing - I always feel pretty insecure about that part, too. She

didn't think it

was very likely that I would hit a blood vessel in the area I'm injecting and

said not to

worry about it too much. Just getting over the initial shakes about injecting

period was

challenging enough. I still remember the first night and her doing a hand over

hand with

me - it took a lot a work for me to relax enough not to yank her hand back lol.

Well, with

week 9 ahead of me - I seem to at least have mastered pushing the point in :-).

I'm looking forward to the next four weeks passing by when I can shout, yippee -

1/4 of

the way through! hugs jax, karen

, I have been using the Pegasys prefilled syringes and had the

same problem the first few times. The medicine is a little visciuos

and when you draw back and tap it it seems to make more little

bubbles, but I discovered a little trick.

What I do is take the rubber cap off of the syringe and before

putting the needle on hold it with the tip straight up, slowly pull

back on the plunger. You will get a small drop of liquid out of the

neck, give it a light tap and you should get any little bubbles near

the plunger out too. Then put the needle on tightly, and slowly push

out the remaining air.

This works better for me than trying to get the air out with the

needle on.

And like Jackie said, don't get too frustrated if you can't get

every little bubble out, it won't hurt you.

If you want a treatment Buddy I do my injections on Sun. nites. Don't feel dorky those syringes they supply are wierd and crappy, its not just you. I have to give myself 3 insulin shots a day, and I had a hard time with them. But now with all my practice I am quick draw McGraw. Hi Idaho know it well spent quite a bit of time there. I love Sand Point and that area. When I was in the 4th grade my teacher could

hear me talking in the next bungalow so she called me in and named me Bazooka .Been that way ever since as I have a deep booming voice.Seeing as now I can't hear well why its even louder. I have spent a fair amount of time McCall,Pocatello,Boise, and Mountain home is that right my memory is not so good anymore. Any members with treament who have had Alzheimers in their line and the effects of treatments on their memories ? Regards Bazooka Tim Parsons knoxville,tn 37931
