Guest guest
For transportation home, how about duct tape for the lid? Guest guest
Taping the lids should help. I package my yogurt in canning jars with tight lids--they may break but generally don't open. You could ask them if you could provide jars or another container to have your yogurt put into--or bring a different container along and put it in when you pick up. Or just make it at home--it isn't difficult! Perhaps a cooler just for the yogurt too so it does not get bumped around when moving? Freezing is best done in containers made for freezing. You can get plastic ones from stores--they are square and have red lids. May want to check on the BPA tho. They also have some canning jars in smaller sizes that are able to handle the freezer, just don't overfill glass containers. Zip lock bags would be messy but they would work too. > > Hi, > > > I get my yogurt from a known farm. Guest guest
> Thanks for the duct tape idea, Deanna. I'm going to do that for transporting. > Or just make it at home--it isn't difficult! LOL! Oh, before I've even gotten home, I've dumped containers, or spilled them. I can't freeze them in the containers they provide because they are unthawed when I get home. And my freezer requires being able to put items any which way to fit in there (full). I load my medium-wheeled cooler pretty full and tote it through a parking lot and up apartment stairs. I want to streamline everything. Good idea about buying new plastic containers for freezing. Thanks, Amy in Bloomington
