Guest guest
Sharon, thanks for sharing so much of yourself. I can relate to how you are feeling. I go to some " mixed " support groups in the area and I can tell them how pleased I am with my DS but they look at me and see that I currently weigh what they are STARTING their WLS journey at. And I feel like what have I really got to share with them? Sure I have superior quality of life but that isn't what so many of them are seeking they want THIN and judging by some of the Doctors they are seeing they want it at any price. On the other hand. I dream of looking 1/2 as good as you do when I am finished with MY ride on the DS magic carpet. Thanks for being such an example of beauty AND grace. in Tacoma 355.5 / 250 / ?? I just hope for lower 200's(anything below 250) I feel that at my present rate of losing It is where I will end. It leaves me kind of depressed sometimes. I am proud of my 100lb loss though, so much is better...still frustrated with most clothes shopping and saggy skin. I will really be freaked in April when we go to the beach with the band. I ran into a friend yesterday who had the RNY about 2-3 years ago. She's started the path to regain. I asked her how her eating was, did she vomit? Yep, all the time...quality of life is where it's at fellow DSers! Hugs and blessings, Ann

I can still remember the feeling that I was gonna die because I ate steak or a salad or even worse.....BOTH!!! I'd hurt so bad and feel like if I didn't throw up I'd die. Many times the only relief was the old finger down the throat thing. So if you think you DS problems are bad? Go eat lunch With another person with one of the other surgeries. You'll go home and send Dr. K a thank you card....LOL. in Bama Rny to Ds revision 12/03 Down102lbs!! Thanks to Dr. K!

I was talking to Holly, my bestest friend and support person about body image...she laughs at me and says -- just think back less than a year! (She doesn't put up with any crapola from me! LOL) My " head " problems are going to be just as bad as the next persons, but I will not go quietly into that chasm! So take that poor body image (as I slice it out of my mind)!
