missing an interferon shot

what effect does missing an interferon shot have on getting an svr

on treatment. i have a situation. my doctor told me not to take my

next interferon shot till he had my next labs, and he was suppose to

get back to me yesterday and still no word. my last lab had a WBC

count that was low (1.9) so they wanted to check it again and if it

was still low give and if so give me some neupogen to bring it up

to normal. i still have not been able to get in touch with my doctor

or have heard anything and i was due for my interferon shot

yesterday. i dont want to throw my schedule off or lose a week or

interrupt treatment. this has me worried.

also how low is a 1.9 for a wbc count?

if i dont hear from him by today i am going to just take the shot

anyway as i dont want to interrupt my treatment, i have already

cleared the virus at 6 weeks and i dont want to fuck my chances of

getting an svr.

what would you do in this situation if you could not get a hold of

your doctor?
