Is it the gerber amish chicken? Their prices are pretty competitive with gold'n

plump....hmm i wonder why? Oh, I know, they give them feed that has gmo's in

it. If you ever see chicken that is cheap, it is because they were not fed

organic. You may as well buy gold n plump and save money. If you want a truly

organic chicken, I don't think it will cost less than 3.00 a lb.

I bought an organic chicken for 3.90 a lb. Very expensive and i dont know that

i can afford that ofr a family of 6. I bought it to see if it makes better

broth. Gold n plum has 3.5 lb chickens on sale for 3.99. What do I do? buy a

chick for 4.00 or 12 for the same quantity?

someone can correct me if I am wrong but I think amish and gold n plump have

been raised similarly

> I wanted to let you know about Osseo Meat Market. I go there when I run out of

cow.... Usually ground beef first. ;) Their meat is not certified organic...BUT,

it is grass fed, pastured. I asked if they ever feed them corn or grains and

they said no. I pay between 2.99-3.50 per pound for ground beef, depending on

whether or not there is a sale. Anyway, they sell suet for about $1 a pound

from the same cows as listed above. And if you ask for beef bones they give them

to you free with purchase. Their beef heart is less than $3 per pound. They even

skin it for you for free. Once they did a good job for me and once they didn't.

So that's hit or miss. Their liver is less than $3 a pound.

that.

those so I buy mine organic. Does any one know about these?

afford it. I still prefer buying a whole organic cow, but this is good when I'm

running low. Hope that helps some of you.
