Guest guest
I find it's quicker for me to go to the lab and get the results ,They fax results to the doc but usually it takes time for him to get to them so I beat him to the punch line lol. My MELD score is also 12 right now and every month when they recheck it I pray it will go down . I hope you have a happy new year MELD SCORES Ive seen a few folks talk about MELD (Model Endstage Liver Desease). My Doctors here in Fort Myers, FL, have indicated that this score is the pivotal test to determine needs of transplant. Here, your score must be 15/higher to be eligible for a place on the transplant list, Mine a month ago was 12, and I'm due another blood test any day now. I insist that My Doctor put my name and address on the blood test request. I always get the results in a few days. Than I go to the following 2 web sites to plug in the numbers needed. You'll need to make sure that your Doc has put on the prescription that he'll get the following three results, as well as the rest of the typical items on a bloodtest. CreatinumBilirubinINRO.K., here are links to the 2 websites I use (Results vary a point or 2)http://www.thedrugmonitor.com/meld.htmlhttp://www.mayoclinic.org/gi-rst/mayomodel7.htmlIt's good to know what the Doc's may not tell you!
