Guest guest
What annoys me and I do not know if it is still happening is the insistence that girls in school uniforms have to wear skirts - some pedophiles get a real kick out of that. Not just that, skirts can be very impractical (well for girls that like climbing anyway :-) ) " What's with the hoochie outfits for 18-month-old's for > that matter? ... <snip> ... To me, a lot of extra fabric actually feels binding. I received a failing grade in sixth-grade physical education class, because I refused to wear the very short shorts part of the uniform. -sara
Guest guest
I used to hate wearing shorts for PE lessons at school and would try everything to get out of the lesson like forgetting my shorts accidentially on purpose. Didn't work though because then we were forced to join in the PE lesson in our regulation navy blue knickers. Yuk! Unfortunately for me, I am well aware of the existence of pedophiles and how (not why) at least two of them operate. I was an incredibly shy kid, not at all provocative, not friendly, not in any way encouraging. I didn't even wear sexualized children's clothing. I used clothing to hide. I am cautious of my children's exposure to people. I am always suspicious (of everyone), always on guard at some level. I don't dress my children in sexualized clothing, but nor do I control what they choose to wear or how they cover themselves. I don't risk promoting shame where none would otherwise be. My mother later told me that one of her boyfriends suggested that I, at six years old, was trying to seduce him. She knew he was mistaken, but she told me that she also knew how he'd gotten that impression. She said it was because I gave shy sideways glances with my large doe-like eyes which gave a coy-flirtatious impression. (because I was uncomfortable looking directly at him!) -sara

Finally answering this. I'll give some examples that I have personally seen. Several times I have seen teen age girls walking around in skin tight sweat pants with slogans on the posterior. Two I can recall were "juicy" and "bootilicious". Others I have seen wearing midrift baring tshirts with slogans on them like "Porn Star" and "I'm Easy". I've also seen very young girls wearing midrift baring clothes, pleated miniskirts which barely covered anything, and other such things. Add to that that many teen girls also act in rather sluttish fashion to match their clothes. I do know, for example, that sexual activity is pretty rampant in high schools and even middle schools these days. So not only are they dressing like tramps, plenty of them are acting the part too. They get a lot of it not only from the advertizing, but also toys and magazines. The Bratz town line got in trouble about a year ago because one of their dolls had in their "personality profile" that came with it, that even though she was a young teen, she liked to go on blind dates with older men and the rest implied that she wouldn't shy away from sexual advances. Girl's magazines have a lot of stuff about relationships, but many times I have been amazed to see on the covers articles about sex advice that would probably be x rated given the way the titles read. Its no wonder kids are so messed up these days. Adults aren't letting them be kids anymore. They got to be doing all these sports and such on the one hand, and the perverts and pedophiles in advertizing and the magazines are pushing them into earlier and earlier sex on the other. In this town, there was a bet going around in certain agencies that there would be an 11 year old giving birth any year now. We've already had 12 and 13 year olds pregnant, but I don't know about 11. Oddly enough, the colors and both of those schools were blue and white, specifially a white top and blue pants. There were other specifications. Any pants had to be long pants and skirts had to be at least to the knee. Shirts could be short or long and had to have collars. Girls could were dresses if they chose, but nothing open backed or otherwise revealing. There was never any problem with this. Really it made shopping very easy because several stores catered to the schools and had these items on sale most of the time. Lots of people have thought I was gay because of the way I sometimes walk or stand. Well, its kind of hard to walk "normally" when one leg is about half an inch longer than the other and the hips are lopsided as well. Then there was the point that I don't chase girls like most guys do, but that is mostly due ot lack of interest in a relationship and getting cussed at when I got caught looking, by the girls themselves that is. Anyway, the actual gays seemed to know that I wasn't one of them and rarely bothered me.

Our athletic uniforms were short pants (not short shorts mind you) and a t shirt and a set of sweat clothes for cooler weather. That was the same for both boys and girls. I've always thought it must be terrible to be a man - unless you live in Saudi Arabia! Having a noose around one's neck I would find particularly disconcerting. How can anyone work in formal attire (especially in the summer time!)?? I only wear long flowing dresses that don't restrict energy flow and movement. Can't stand anything that's tight. Guest guest
Do you know I just cannot get comfortable in a dress. Every year I buy one or two in the Summer but rarely wear them and end up giving them down to the charity shop or leaving them in the wardrobe for years. I am ok in a light summery skirt and short sleeved tee-shirt though so I think it has something to do with not having anything around my middle in a dress. In colder weather I am much more comfortable in some nice loose fitting casual trousers than a skirt. I have just started wearing jeans again in the last two years after losing some weight at weight watchers but I don't like them too tight. I've always found it interesting, women's anatomy is far more favorable for wearing pants than men. Maybe pants should be made with bags at the crotch like some men's under shorts. I find long flowing dresses most comfortable. My legs get cold very quickly so I prefer to keep them covered. My preference is dresses rather that skirts for comfort but I love flowing skirts with lots of soft material and that's much easier to find in skirts rather than dresses. I must say though that for women I love seeing them in short skirts. It really pumps up the imagination. I am not a pedophile but older girls with a sense of innocent maturity I do find very attractive. I am a firm believer in the concept of knowing the difference between thoughts and acting on them. Younger children hold no attraction whatsoever, short skirts or not. I know for me a woman wearing something hot and sexy is always more attractive than seeing her nude, no matter how perfect her body may be. I have seen women wearing long flowing dresses that were just the hottest, sexiest image available. It is definitely not about nudity. I can't see how sqeezing one's private parts into tight underwear and pants can be healthy. Samuraj outfits must be much better for the body? > I find long flowing dresses most comfortable. I personally prefer men in male clothing - even though it must be uncomfortable in the extreme and I feel much sympathy for their bodily imprisonment. (Primitive sort of thing I guess.) Guest guest
Yeah, for just sitting around and not doing much I don't mind wearing a skirt, but if I am going to be running around etc I prefer pants :-) I think it should be more acceptable for men to wear skirts and dresses if they want to. Is it the African culture where men wear like African Dress?, I can see it in my mind, but not sure which culture - looks good anyway. > > Not just that, skirts can be very impractical (well for girls that > > > like climbing anyway :-) ) > > > > I hate skirts, always have.
