Re: Nourishing Brain Foods?

Eating actual brain would be the best. It would give his body the raw materials

to rebuild his own brain. Unfortunately we've let the powers that seem to be,

make it so it is extremely difficult to get ahold of this ultra-superfood.

Clancy's will get you pig brains if you ask them, unfortunately their pig is low

quality as far as I'm concerned. But it's at least hormone and antibiotic free

and raised humanely. I've eaten it raw and it was positively delicious, just not

ideal (as in pastured/forested and soy free). But it will do in a pinch for your

father.

Like-cures like is the pertinent philosophy here. If you have heart problems,

eat more heart, adrenals for adrenal issues, thryroid for thyroid, etc. This

works under the principle that, though we're not the same as other animals

obviously, we have most of the same components, heart, lungs, brains, etc. Among

the different species those components are made of very similar materials. Thus

the best foods for boosting these components are the corollary components of

other species. In your case, brain for brain.

It would be best if they were raw, but cooked will do (passably and barely).

Raw roe would be great too if you could get ahold of that, cured would be the

next best thing, but definitely free of artifical additives.

Good luck!
