Guest guest
Okay, let me try again. My question is about preferred method of perception. Since I have never studied this topic formally, I'm afraid my language is going to be imprecise, so feel free to correct me (that goes for everybody). I love to read but it is a form of distance, boundary setting, second hand experience because I am hypersensitive to visuals I realize now. My preferred language is visual, I'm discovering as I teach myself to draw. Words feel alien, dear to me as they are. But they make me tired, sometimes I feel that too much of my brain has been devoted to words for entirely too long. Interesting to think how short a period that humanity has spent with the written word in any sizable percentage. My question to you is this: do you respond more to the written word or to visual imagery? I originally wrote about violence because that is what causes a reaction in many people, but you could pick anything that gives you joy as well. So, something that makes you very happy, would it give you more joy to read about it or to see it on tv? We don't have to continue with this if you don't want to, but I've been fighting an internal battle with myself related to this topic so thank you for inspiring me to 'talk' it out. :-) Jill > > I was not disturbed personally by the subject like for instance seeing > blood and guts on the T.V. Well war movies are like that and there is > war in reality. > > I never got to read the topic, its not that I am not understanding, > its that intelectually there is a response and there are questions > concerning bounderies and what not. I do not see the relevency. >
