Guest guest
Hi All, Much Love to Everyone. I am a sore girl tonight, worked out with trainer who is helping me to correct body imbalances...i.e.=strengthen upper back, chest, arms, etc. I actually did pushups and squats with the aid of a stability ball...Miracle of Miracles!! He looked at my dreaded food diary, and was pleased with my progress. He is a good coach, not a shamer. Who needs them, those shamers? Well, trainer guy surprised the hell out of me by telling me about a friend of his who had WLS (RNY of course...I had to educate him about GRDS) and a panniculectomy or whatever the medicalese is for that ectomy - LOL. He said the guy is working out all the time now after a 150 + lb loss...Initally when his boss was telling me about the " RIGHT WAY " to lose weight (OH PLEASE, I thought, SPARE ME!!!) my trainer kind of nodded his head, but today, he sort of came out of the closet, so to speak, in support of my decision to have WLS. (He has a girlfriend, so coming out of the closet may be the wrong way to phrase that....) I can relate to the food addict stuff....I too attended OA in several different phases of my life with varying degrees of success. I am hopeful that this DS will also be my answer to prayer. Its a gamble with the possible complications, but then again, so is living in general if you ask me, especially with MO. Someone from Dr. K's office called me today to get my PCP's number, I'm grateful I don't have to go through all the hassle of talking my PCP into the idea of WLS for me. That might take years to convince her...she looked at me in horror when I explained the procedure, but oh well. It's not her decision. Well, good people have a good night and sweet dreams everyone. (((hugs))) Joy
