Guest guest
I just had to answer this one cause there is so much debate on this subject . If you search the archived messages you will find I have posted research articles on how pot can increase fibrosis in the liver and also an article that said smoking it on treatment sometimes helps the patient get through the treatment. But me personally I didn't care for the pot and yeah it's illegal in most states . I had lost 80 lb and was so sick I had to have home nursing care, then my pharmacist told me about a drug named Zophran . This medication is for patients on chemo and really makes the nausea go away so you can eat better . Most insurance companies will only pay for about 12 pills a month , but your doctor can file an appeal to the insurance companies to get that amount changed . This drug for 12 costs 2000$ so of course insurance co's don't want you to take it , but with a doc fighting for it they usually give in .. Once I started taking zophran I started to gain a little back and then felt so much stronger and had more energy . appetite and feeling sick hi,has anyone tried pot to help with appetite and relieve the constant nausea, a fellow in the hospital i was talking to who is a fellow hepper told me he smokes pot to help out, is this really possible, using pot while your on treatment? isn't the pot terrible for your liver and plus you could be arrested, any thoughts on this? Guest guest
Hi, There are those that do and those that don’t. I personally do not think that smoking a little pot to increase the appetite will hurt your liver nearly as much as the poor nutrition of not eating and the improved quality of life by being more comfortable is an important factor.. And as much as many believe it should be legalized, it has not yet been. If you are not in the lifestyle of smoke it could be very dangerous to buy. Much money is being made by the enforcement of policies of the War Against Americans and they are not going to give it up even to make the sick better. I would suggest if anyone was going to use the substance to put it in brownies and eat it. I hear it is easier on the lungs and they say it lasts longer. Nikki hi, has anyone tried pot to help with appetite and relieve the constant nausea, a fellow in the hospital i was talking to who is a fellow hepper told me he smokes pot to help out, is this really possible, using pot while your on treatment? isn't the pot terrible for your liver and plus you could be arrested, any thoughts on this? Guest guest
I have always loved to cook, and have been making it my saturday routine to smoke a little bit of pot in the morning and cook. It increases the appetite and kind of makes cooking more fun. I smoke about a quarter of a joint a week so I don't think it will hurt anything. Guest guest
I am reluctant to recommend any illegal substance. That being said, I have heard of people using it for nausea and lack of appetite and having success. I have heard other people said a small amount doesn't hurt.
