Guest guest
Well, trying to think more about my long term future today instead of this little set-back surgery I have to have in two days. So I faxed my Medicare card to at Dr. K's office today and had several questions which I am waiting to hear back about. (I had previously faxed my BC/BS and then found out I still had Medicare. Yippee!) Told her I am looking to have surgery in 11 months...the first week of August, 2004, because my vacation doesn't accrue until after July 26. I know, seems like it's FOREVER away. But I know just how quickly a year can go. And I think it's meant to be just at that time for the following reason.... Last night, I'm talking to my mom, and she tells me she's coming Wednesday (200 mile drive) with my sister for my surgery, and then going home on Friday so she can see (a friend who just recently graduated from college and moved out to L.A.) and his fiancee. Then she will come back on Saturday to take care of me while I recuperate for a week or two. I asked when is 's wedding? And check this out...JULY 31, 2004 in LOS ANGELES!!!!! She's going!!! Which means she'll be in California when I'm there about to have surgery. How cool is that? She always likes to be there when I have surgery...and now she CAN be and I'll have a support person. lol That's too cool. And of course, I'll invite myself to the wedding, so we can stay in L.A. and go to Disneyland together and then off to Delano to take care of business. Perfect, right? Of course, now that I told her I was going to CA to have this done, she's talking all that " bad " talk, telling me to have a little " self- control " . But, you know, it's my life, my stomach, and I'm doing it...God-willing! She can be there, or not...but either way...her feelings won't change my mind. I just thought how perfect that was that she was planning a trip to L.A. at the same exact time. So now I wait to hear from Dr. K's office and would appreciate any and all prayers for my surgery here in WI this week. These are the Days Of MY Life!
