Guest guest
Hi I havent been on in a long time. I see stuff advertised for natural cures and I am very sceptical. Anybody have any testimony on how natural herbs helped. Thanks
Guest guest
I believe they can help..and greatly if you are under the care and following the advice of a good medical doctor that also deals in Alternative Supplements, but cure, that's something still very sought after and hoped for.. My best advice would be to proceed with caution with things you see on the Internet. People still sadly prey on the sick.. Guest guest
I think most everyone here would agree that milk thistle is very highly recommended to protect your liver. Just keep in mind that you do need to run that by your medical doctor. He/She can check to be sure it doesn't interfere with any of your current conventional medications. Personally, I would not be without it now.. I saw pretty dramatic results in my liver enzymes coming down just a short time after starting it. I take it 3 times a day.. Guest guest
Tim IF there WERE ANY natural stuff that could CURE this disease, I'D KNOW IT,, but there is nothing alternative that can cure this disease.. however, some natural stuff can help your liver to maintain its health and help it deal with the hep c virus better. Milk Thistle, Schizzandra, Red Clover can be helpful along with Alpha lipoic acid.. But there is nothing that can put this disease into remission except the standard drug therapies currently available today. We hope everyday that they will find something else that is not so hard to take but as of now, this is all we have. But if you decide to take anything, make sure to run it by your doc to make sure that it wont have an interaction with any meds YOU PERSONALLY might be taking.. just be safe! jax moderatortimvv51 <tvalkenburg50@...> wrote: Hi I havent been on in a long time. Guest guest
Tim I've been doing chinese herbs I get from my acupuncturist and they have normalized my ast/alt levels. I haven't checked my viral load for a while. I've chosen to go that route for now. I'm genotype 1a, grade 2, so I have time to weigh my options. Also taking milk thistle with silybin phytosome (a more powerful milk thistle) Good luck, Steve......Austin,TXtimvv51 <tvalkenburg50@...> wrote: Thanks for the reply Sheena.
