Guest guest
In Weston Price's book " Nutrition and Physical Degeneration " he mentions testing food samples for nutrient content. Can anyone recommend a testing lab that will perform this type of nutrient analysis? I'm looking at starting up a consumer reporting agency (similar to Consumer Reports) that tests our food supply and ranks food from various sources based on actual nutrition. I think each city should have one of these. Thoughts on how to proceed? Brad
Guest guest
Brad, I think that's an exciting and very worthy idea! I've been trying to track down an accurate source for nutrition facts for traditional foods -- all the foods we eat that don't come with labels and that are a far cry from conventional SAD foods. I'm searching for this info to add to a nutrition analysis software program that's required for the degree I'm getting in holistic nutrition and that is used by holistic nutrition professionals. I hope you succeed! This is SO needed. Good luck. Beth Cowart
Guest guest
This is a recurring issue. It's possible that the USDA has charts of nutrient content -- I've seen comparisons from mid 1920's, 40-50's later decades showing decline in nutrients even 40 years ago. Agreed, FW is frustrating because it emphasizes processed foods. KL On Wed, Jan 4, 2012 at 10:51 PM, cowartbeth <cowartbeth@...> wrote: > Brad, I think that's an exciting and very worthy idea!
