I went to Burt's buther shop in Eyota yesterday, and bought a box of organic

capons. These have parts missing, but the ones I got look beautiful. They are

selling them for $.90/lb, which is basically their processing costs. They did

some work for a farmer who ended up going bankrupt before he could pay them for

the processing and they have a couple of thousand they just want to get rid of.

I think he is bringing some up to the cities soon (he is meeting up with some

Russians here) so maybe if you call him you could set something up. Otherwise I

may be going down next weekend if someone wants to meet up with me later (I live

in downtown Mpls). They also have lard for $1.79/ lb.

I would say they are about 6-7 lbs. There are 8 in a box, I think.

Most have a wing missing. I say one with a leg missing. I suppose you know, if

the bird gets injured in transit the inspector makes them remove the injured

limb.
