Thanks liz---that makes sense, but what is the difference between quantitative and qualitative ?I have been cleared, or cured as my doctors says of Luekemia for 25 years now due to chemotherapy treatment. I guess everyone has the chance of getting cancer, maybe more so me, but if I can grab 25 years of Hep C remission, I' ll take it, lolls,Eelizabethnv1 <elizabethnv1@...> wrote: If you cleared by 3 months then quantitive would be less than 10 IU and yes if a

person stay undectable ( or clear which is the common term) then doctors consider you cured . But remember the virus is in you for the rest of your life it is just not active . And that can change easily so take care of your body cause the hep can come back . Re: Clearing the virus Foggy minded

I was found to be undetectable at 3 months and the doc says that it was his best test--qualitative which is good for reading down to 10 iu/ml; Does this sound right ? So quantitative is greater than 10, I suppose. So if someone reads undetectable for two years past treatment, then you are considered cured ?I am happy with my results but started with only 200,000 iu/mlKerri Landress <kerrilandress > wrote: Thanks, maybe I will ask about doing an earlier test. You might ask your doc to do an early PCR and tell him why,, maybe he needs to do something about the cryo too,, jaxkerrilandress <kerrilandress > wrote: Hello all,I've read so many people's wonderful stories about how they cleared the virus in 6 wks! Congratulations, that is so wonderful!!! My question is, I have been on tx now for 7 wks. I do not do my viral load check until next month, though, so I don't know if I

am clearing it or not. I am concerned, though, because I am still having symptoms of cryoglobulinemia. It's been very aggrevated lately because it's gotten very cold (in Florida anything below fifty degrees is cold!) My hands and feet are numb all the time and look like those of a corpse (and I'm a funeral director so I can attest to that fact!) My doctor told me that once the HCV is "cleared" then the cryo will be "cleared". So I am worried that since I still have the cryo, I still have the virus. I am a type 3 with a VL of 12M. Anyone have cryo and cleared the virus? How long did it take?Jackie Cheap Talk? Check out Messenger's low PC-to-Phone call rates. From what I have learned there is little difference they are just two seperate testing methods to determine the value of a viral loads .
