Guest guest
Bob's Red Mill brand has certified gluten-free oats. Sold in coops and some grocery stores (Cub?).
Guest guest
Oats are gluten free, however, they are almost always processed in places that also process wheat, and therefore there are often warnings on oats that they may contain traces of gluten - even organic oats. Guest guest
It's true that oats are very often contaminated in the US. But there are places to get certified GF (organic) oats. Here is a good source: http://www.glutenfreeoats.com/ Bobs Red Mill has some too. The problem is that they are always crazy expensive! (which I think is why the original poster was looking for a more cost effective source) Re: Re: GF oat groats Oats are gluten free, however, they are almost always processed in places that also process wheat, and therefore there are often warnings on oats that they may contain traces of gluten - even organic oats.
