Guest guest
Soooo, Am I to think that taking milk thistle if I also take one or more of the listed drugs is not recommended? I'm finding out that many of the supplements I've been taking are now not advisable. Sharon
Guest guest
Sharon, I would check with a qualified physician and with a person like Jackie who is soon to be a doctor of Naturopathy before I would change anything in my daily regime. The articles here are informational and to use as a quideline to work with your doctor. Always check with your doctors if you have concerns about your medications or supplements. Guest guest
I take milk thistle and zoloft which appears on that list. I feel fine. Still, I am going to ask my GI doc about when I go tomorrow. -- In Hepatitis C , " Sharon Crosby " <blubirdxoxo@...> wrote: > > Soooo, Am I to think that taking milk thistle if I also take one or > more of the listed drugs is not recommended? Guest guest
I agree with Janet,, ask your doc about whatever YOU are taking,, everyone IS DIFFERENT and there will always be someone who will react to something,, ya know what i mean? But everyones bodies are different and while I believe like Tim that Milk Thistle IS SAFE, there ARE those who are allergic to it or dont think they can take it for other reasons! BUT I believe in my heart that it IS SAFE! Talk with an ND(Im no where near being done yet, lol)Sharon Crosby <blubirdxoxo@...> wrote: OJ, If the weather doesn't get worse, I',m due to see him tomorrow. sharonJanet <doc_jade > wrote: Sharon, I would check with a qualified physician and with a person like Jackie who is soon to be a doctor of Naturopathy before I would change anything in my daily regime. Guest guest
Sharon Check with either YOUR doc or an ND who knows alternative's and how they react with standard meds! I took Milk thistle along with my treatment meds, my sleep meds, my antidepressant and another alternative product called CM Plex which is a natural anti-inflammatory and I KNOW that it IS the reason that I was successful on tx and it kept my liver safe and allowed my body to do its work in getting rid of this virus!Sharon Crosby <blubirdxoxo@...> wrote: Soooo, Am I to think that taking milk thistle if I also take one or more of the listed drugs is not recommended? Guest guest
Thanks, Jackie. I too trust your word implicitly (sp?). I went to see my gastro doc today and he has no worries about it. I also got the prescription for the tx drugs and plan to start right after Christmas. I can't remember what to do with it, tho. I think I have to call Roche and ask them if they will ship and send the script to them. That's what I did with Scherring.... I already have brain fog part of the time, I oughta be a riot AFTER I start. lol SHaronJackie on <redjaxjm@...> wrote: Sharon Check with either YOUR doc or an ND who knows alternative's and how they react with standard meds!
