Guest guest
Just had to brag about it. Sort of a " guy lunch " , I had toasted sprouted wheat bread, with Castle Rock Butter and Farms Braunschwieger spread thickly along with a sprinkle of sel gris. This with squeaky fresh CR organic cheese curds, a frosty home-brew ginger kombucha and some sweet home-packed pickles from the Stockholm Farm Store! Wow! My chihuahua was so jealous! I was in heaven. If you haven't tried the ANDERSON FARM BRAUNSCHWIEGER, you must! It's truly sensational. I filled my cooler with it at the Honeymoon Creamery event, and I'm really glad. I may buy more this coming Saturday at their OPEN HOUSE. FYI, 's BRAUNSCHWIEGER is made with beef, beef tongue and heart and beef liver along with some gentle spices and not much else. Theirs has no preservatives or artificial nitrites so it's a fantastic way to get your liver intake, particularly for children (or adults) adverse to eating liver. This mild spreadable pate-like liverwurst is good on crackers or toast comes originally, like so many good meats, from Germany (Braunschwieg) and was originally made from pork liver. It must contain a minimum of 30% liver to be called Braunschwieger. Great with a hot mustard, sweet pickles and, uh....OK, an ice-cold craft beer or chilled white German wine! Serve it on Her Majesty's Savories flatbread crackers for company and watch them start fighting for more! Will Winter
