Guest guest
Hi Everyone; Merry Christmas and Happy New Year: Beware of attachments, even those that seem like they are from friends. One way to check-is to reply before opening the attachment. Many will come back as unknown and/or illegal address ** do not open these. Others are more sneaky and have attached to a friend's e-mail without their knowledge. I have received a few, and opened one which was caught by my Norton Security System and quarantined and destroyed. All my e-mail is scanned, coming in and going out. For the near future, I will not use attachments and will notify all if and when I change this. Wild Innocent tics like blinking and eye rolling can hold clues to a child's learning disabilities (article). According to the study published in the journal Neurology, mild tics such as lip puckering, eye rolling, head tossing, and nose scrunching are important clues to diagnosing other learning disabilities like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, and obsessive compulsive disorder, or OCD... Learning disabilities such as ADHD or OCD afflict between 50 percent and 70 percent of children with Tourette's Syndrome, and Kurlan says his study suggests that even mild tics alone, not necessarily Tourette's, may represent an " identifiable sign of an underlying brain developmental disorder that contributes to academic difficulties, " or a barrier to learning. http://da\ ilynews./h/abc/20011226/hl/tics_011226_1.html Source: Abcnews.com December 26, 2001 --- Dyslexia: a webpage: - abnormal distractibility, " twitchiness " and hyperactivity - problems with fine motor control in handwriting - visual problems associated with motor control of the eyes: lack of smooth tracking, lack of smooth convergence, unstable ocular dominance, intermittent mismatched focusing and poor stereopsis at the midline. http://www.dyslexia.org/corpus.shtml\ --- Blinking and eye rolling can also be associated with some types of epilepsy. --- Merck (ADD): http://ww\ w.merck.com/pubs/mmanual/section19/chapter262/262d.htm Mike Savory AWAK(e)A © 2001 " Advocacy With Abundant Keys to Excellence and Access " Offering Advocacy in: Community Service, Student Advocacy, Facilitation & Mediation (Volunteer) Adolescence Doesn't Die IT Just Gets Buried !...
